[classy=app_field3]KINGDOM[/classy] the island of rudyard is far away from most kingdoms, but that's because it's a land with roots in blood. once a colony for convicts, it was only when rudyard went to war to make a name for itself that it was recognized as a genuine kingdom, and the first set of royals were moved in. rudyard is known for its humble roots and the hard-working nature of their people, every single success it has dedicated to the fact that the population wants nothing more than to thrive. with a notorious reputation for farming, breeding, hunting, and generally any sort of task that's associated with living off the land, its people are naturally talented at it, and these skills are passed on through generations. don't let the peaceful and down-to-earth views of rudyard fool you, though; its people are more than willing to go to war if anyone stands in their way, and they're not afraid of spilling a little more pain on the earth that's theirs. [classy=app_field3]OTHER[/classy] q is the firstborn son of the king of rudyard, and thus is the rightful heir to the throne. if he had a choice about it, though, he'd much rather become a physicist--science fascinates him, and nothing is more brilliant than understanding and finding out how the universe ticks and whirs. the only driving force he has for taking the throne is the fact that the life of a rudyard royal isn't as leisure-filled as it seems, paved with heartache and the sorrow so well-hidden by its people, and he doesn't want to subject any of his siblings to such travesties. he's the typical big brother who wants to keep everyone he loves safe. in fact, the reason he's at the academy is simply because his little sister is here--but don't tell her that. q claims that he's around because his father thinks he needs to be taken down a notch and learn how to be a proper gentleman, but it was really a hundred percent his decision. the atmosphere is admittedly too fancy for his taste, and the way they hold royals so highly and the others so low is an iffy matter with him at best, but in the end, he's here for 'the greater good'. just don't forget that the first law in upholding said greater good is to never call him quentin--it's just q, and it has always been just q, and anyone who says otherwise better be ready for a good old roundhouse kick to the head.[/classy] |
