quentin carter russell pourquoi tu gâches ta vie? about them une chanson que tout le monde aime meet q, and yes, it's just q. he never introduces himself as more than that, ever, crown prince of rudyard or not. he's twenty years old, but even with all this... experience under his belt, he's only a second year. after all, the only reason he's here is to protect his little sister. he's not as into the whole 'prince' spiel as he should be, honestly, and though he knows he has responsibilities, he'd really much rather become a scientist. that's a secret, of course, so don't bring it up. and title or no title, q really doesn't act as dignified as a prince should, but to be honest, all the manners stuff? it's bullshit. or, well, that's what he thinks, anyway. all in all, he's your regular guy; it just so happens that he's of royal blood. take that how you will. friends c'est ta vie, fais c'que tu veux q is... eccentric, at best. he's meticulous and organized with his belongings, but with his personality, he can come off as brash and rude. q likes to tease, and he certainly likes egging people on, and it's a really bad set of traits for someone with as ill a temper as his. he's very down-to-earth, and he never lets the fact that he's royal get to his head. in fact, sometimes he forgets, so do forgive him when he belches in the middle of a meal and doesn't excuse himself. he's charming, though, really, and is quite the smooth talker. though he has a number of secrets he'd much rather keep secret, he could definitely use some friends of various varieties. he's fiercely loyal and liable to be overprotective, so be wary of that. plus, he takes friendship very seriously--any form of betrayal would be the highest type of offense, and q never takes matters like loyalties easy. enemies dis-moi c'est quoi ton probleme q has a short temper, that much is for certain. insults are never taken lightly if they're given by someone he doesn't trust, and anyone calling him anything but q is his number one pet peeve. in all honesty, though, he'll only ever truly hate someone if they hurt anyone he cares for. and though he tries not to be judgmental, he really detests those who believe themselves high and mighty above all the rest, and isn't afraid to use a sharp tongue to get them off their high horses. he's not above physical fights, either--q's well-versed in various styles of self-defense thanks to his father, and a life full of hard work has his palms callused and his mind focused on how to properly break someone's arm in the best way possible. he's killed people, too--so all in all, if you're on his hit list, do watch yourself. and a pro-tip: don't stand in his way. lovers ça va pas bien comme ta tête q is gay, but he's not aware of that yet, convinced that he's attracted to both genders just because he knows as king he'll have to produce heirs. it's very complicated, though in simplicity he appreciates people who can stand up to him and argue with him and not give up halfway. he's prone to getting easily attached even if he really doesn't want to, but true romantic interest only happens if you've managed to capture his interest intellectually, as well. nothing appeals to him more than a healthy, equal relationship full of banter. he's not above no-ties relationships of the flesh, too: a guy needs to let off steam sometimes, after all, and your right hand can only do so much. though he doesn't see himself settling down, he's not opposed to it: in fact, he wishes for it. and when the time does come, there's no doubt that q is never letting go. so hey, go nuts. WRATH

There are going to be times were Asher really doesn't like Q in fact he'll just utterly hate him B| 'Cause to Asher it seems that Q doesn't need to make any effort at all and he still manages to be what Almanac society seems to believe is what is princely. Which really can't be said for Asher - he tends to fail at any class that doesn't feature a physical aspect and it takes a lot of prodding for him to remember almanac etiquette, like not leaving his weapons out on the table.
But he can't deny that Q is actually alright - way cooler than most of the other douchebags that attend the academy in any case. And their personalities are similar enough in some regards that whenever Asher isn't being a jealous twat the two of them should get along quite nicely.
But, yeah, Marlene will probably need to act as mediator between these two whenever the three of them are together XD Q should expect for Asher to pressure him to spar with him constantly, as that would be Asher's idea of "playing around" and male bonding it's how it's done in Tol Sirion anyway. Q might just be sitting down and relaxing and without warning Asher will kick his chair out from underneath him and then it's on XD
Yeah, I think that their friendship will be slightly dysfunctional but it should still work.

asher & q vas-y, secoue-toi et danse oh man, q is going to have so much fun with asher, ngl. 8| and tbh q isn't very mannerly at all, even if he knows what's right and wrong, and he may as well kick his feet up at the dining hall while asher's got his weapons beside his plate. he's kind of really iffy with the whole manners business to begin with, so he's only princely when he has to be. he wouldn't even try correcting asher, really. he likes that the guy isn't afraid to express himself despite the boundaries. DUDE YOU DON'T KNOW HOW GREAT THE SPARRING THING IS, q is absolutely all for that! i mean he'd probably be kind of annoyed at first that asher was taking up some of his ~leisure time~ to try and kick his ass, but in the end he'll appreciate it; sparring's kind of a big thing with him, back home fighting was considered an important thing to be able to do, most importantly being able to hold your own. and hey, he can't get rusty while in a prissy prep school, right? 8| he wouldn't even notice that asher has some tension his way, and tbh if ever he sees him struggling with anything science/math-related, he'll help out. seeing how those are the only two academic subjects here that matter to him. but english and everything else taken online and whatever subject doesn't involve physical effort? yeah, he's probably barely passing those, too. xDD except for politics. i'm sure he at least knows politics. and he's welcome to help asher out if he needs it )o)

the fact that he's more into science than being a prince would make him seem very interesting to liz. she too doesn't really care about the whole 'royal' thing, and would much rather be out having adventures or exploring or something. so, with that being said, maybe these two could be friends? liz is a motherly girl, and she'd want to help him keep his secrets and help him maybe work on some science-y things? idek. plus she thinks he's cute /shot

liz and q vas-y, secoue-toi et danse yesss! yes, good, brilliant. i doubt q's going to be opening up to her anytime soon about how he... really doesn't want to take the throne, but he's probably going to be comfortable around her. i think she'd be able to catch him in the act of high treason (aka being a scientist sshh it's complicated) eventually, though. going through his notebooks, finding them full of equations and drawings of star positions etc. etc. 8| BUT THEY CAN TOTALLY GO ON ADVENTURES TOGETHER, I LIKE THIS IDEA BEST. :|

q has met his match with sydney~! the blunette is sharp as a whip, and q is really the only person that's capable of making him scowl with such bad manners. of course, it's never beyond sydney to call him out on it, to be the great knight sitting high up on his pedestal. sydney is very smart, i think it'd be funny for him to sort of look down on q and try to like insult him indirectly with clever phrases and such and q just like calls him out on it whereas sydney expected it to go over the brunette's head. of course, that would interest him and invite more animosity. all in all, when sydney's backed into a corner he tends to try manipulating people's emotions, and as such he begins to take sexual advantage of q. basically, i wanted for q to become sydney's bitch. <3 ofc, i expect there to still be some struggle between them, but once sydney coaxes him down with a surprise kiss it's all over~ eh, eh? <;

sydney and q vas-y, secoue-toi et danse no matter how much sydney tells him that he's got the manners of a pig, q will not beyond any circumstance attempt to become more polite. and more than that, he'll gladly counter the other male's casual insults with some of his own--though the ones that hit closer to home will probably make him snap and yell and possibly attempt to clock sydney in the jaw. on particularly good days, though, he'd probably just roll his eyes at him and keep doing what he's doing, flipping his middle finger at him or something. 8| no doubt sydney's more forward advances would confuse him, even if he'll try to seem otherwise. i mean, q doesn't even want to accept the fact that he's only attracted to men, so there's that. and then when the physical relationship starts he'll probably continue with excuses like 'ha i was so out of it', 'i was pretty tired then', 'what do you mean? i was drunk off my ass', and continuously be in denial, even when it becomes something that makes him dependent. and he'll hate himself a lot for that, too. ffjshdflsdf idk im shit with plots ljs;lvm;cv
