He's a sociopath. Really, his only redeeming qualities are products of his illness and don't come without ulterior motives. He's likable, very likable, because he needs to be liked. He thrives on manipulating others into doing his dirty business. In public, he's charming, friendly, kind, fun, but alone without witnesses he's the complete opposite.
Like his profile says, he's ruthless and does whatever he can to get what he wants. I imagine enemies would be one-sided, since he needs to be on everyone's good-side he wouldn't go around making enemies willy-nilly. Though, acting as an enemy toward him would be cautionary behavior--kick his ass all you will, he's pretty good at turning the tables or having things interpreted in his favor.
Lovers, pls. He'll go after whatever he wants--men, women, anything that interests him. Though, he's defaulted on women, so his seeking a man would be discreet, and probably none too pleasant (he'd probably treat a male worse than he would a female). He can't grasp the concept of love, any relationship would be shallow and, like his friendships, riddled with intent.
i'm open to any and all relationship types, except relatives. <:

Ok, time for some random plotting XD
I was thinking that Tol Sirion and Trädvguld could share an alliance based on trade, where Tol Sirion relies on Trädvguld to sell and buy pelts, meat and slaves, and that Trädvguld's buisness is largely responsible for Tol Sirion not falling into poverty.
And because of this it was strongly encouraged for Asher and Sydney to interact and be friendly with each other during their first year at the academy. Asher was happy to oblige and would have easily have been sucked into Sydney's charms at first. But as it became apparent that Sydney's a manipulative SOB he would have withdrawn from the other. But, because Tol Sirion is basically in Trädvguld's pocket it makes their interaction very dramatic. Since Asher really can't stand Sydney but he knows better than to deliberately offend or attack him, as Asher would to anyone else who pissed him off. Because of this, Asher would pretty much have done whatever Sydney wanted of him, within reason or when Asher couldn't think of a way to refuse.
An idea that I have is that Sydney pursued Asher romantically. Not because he's attracted or has romantic feelings for Asher. But because he could - and maybe for a little fun. It would have been unlikely for Asher to have outright defied Sydney ... but he did 'cause he's totally in love and loyal to his cousin and shiz. This probably pissed Sydney off and now he's out to make a point. It's almost become a game between these two: to see who can make the other suffer the most before breaking. Asher probably thinks that the only way to make Sydney stop is to swallow his pride and give him what he wanted from Asher in the first place - but he's probably wrong. Even if Asher slept with Sydney, Sydney would probably still destroy him anyways.
And that's pretty much the end of my random plotting. If you hate it I can try and come up with something less random and dramatic XD

This seems a lot like the kind of relationship Sydney would be in, lemme throw in some specifics, tho *^*
Ok, so they are driven together because of trade relations, where Sydney already has the upper-hand. He'd love that Asher actually backs off of him, and this dynamic you've set up it's very likely he'll use Asher to do his dirty work around the school and have it passed off as the kid just bein' a Tol Sirionian. However, it would get to the bluenette--he doesn't feel guilt, but it's still there and so he'll become frustrated with the blonde for not standing up to him. So he'll actually try to piss him off, to get him going, and when it fails he'll lose interest.
Sydney isn't interested in people that don't provide him with a challenge. BUT, it's when he's desperate like this that he'll use sex against other people. Sydney is /incredibly/ patient, like psychotically patient when it comes to his schemes. If Asher rejects him, of course he'll want to know why but he doesn't need to ask. Either he went and found out, or Asher himself told him that he won't be with anyone except his cousin.
You're right, after being rejecting Sydney will be out to destroy him. Sydney has a strong sense of entitlement, so he's not above raping someone if he feels its necessary. Like, as far as he's considered its a privilege to someone like Asher that he would be interested in him. The more desperate Sydney becomes, the more malicious and manipulative. He gets pretty dark, so be aware of that. Otherwise, it's all very perfect. <3 We can get into their plot right about where Sydney's just about had enough of Asher denying him physically, if that's ok? <: Whatever you want, but I do really like this plot you've come up with for them~

i can see syd and xerx being so called "friends" for awhile, using each other for momentary gain and shit. xerx wouldn't mind doing his dirty work considering this academy is way too boring, and as long as his dirty work is interesting he'd rather do that than practice dancing or whatever shit this academy offers.
but xerxes can turn on people like a dime, asher's his cousin and he doesn't take people fucking with him lightly. because he's in love but nobody needs to know that, because everyone needs to think that xerxes' is incapable of love from his point of view and shit-. so, i can see these two getting along until xerxes learns about the downfall of asher's and syd's relationship, and one day, just out of the blue punch the bastard in the face.
because he's overprotective cousin lover.

sydney would see xerxes as his lackey, definitely, but i think he'd become wary of him. as such, he respects him differently than the average lackey. either way, the punch would be taken very, very personally by sydney. of course he'd want to know why--but there's a lot of different ways sydney could go about this, so i think it'd be easier to just thread it out. <3 he won't let asher go so easily, consider sydney an enemy.

omg, skull I love you for this! ♥ I feel a little bad for Asher lol but this idea is so bloody fantastic! :D
Ash has limited patience and an even shorter temper so it would be such a challenge for him not to swing a fist into Sydney's nose. The amount of missing pets within Gardania City would have sky-rocketed at this time as Asher would have beseeched his gods for the patience to endure Sydney. Or for the prat to suddenly drop dead from "natural causes."
Unfortunately, as soon as Sydney started trying to use sex against Asher that's when that patience would have snapped big time. Like an angrily-throw-someone-up-against-a-wall-elbow-pressed-against-their-jugular sort of reaction. I don't think that Asher would have openly told Sydney that the only one who's ever gonna see him with his pants down is Xerxes. 'Cause that's their big secret. But it wouldn't be hard for Sydney to work it out. Asher's very touchy-feely with his cousin :P
That whole scary patience thing that Sydney has going on? Asher is not going to like it, simply because Asher being so reckless and temperamental is going to get tripped up by that shit. He resents that he has no choice but to continue being Sydney's property but what he hates more is Xerxes being one of Sydney's "friends." Since Xerxes is basically Asher's kryptonite all Sydney has to do is make the vaguest threat regarding Xerx and Asher will reluctantly dance on command. Worst still, Asher is never going to let his cousin know about the going ons between him and Sydney, out of some retarded idea of protecting his lover /insert eye-roll.
He might occasionally have some bitching/moaning/emo sessions with the Russell siblings in regards to Sydney but even they won't know the full story. But I'm happy with Sydney ruining Asher's reputation at the academy and making everybody view him with the same stereotype that all Tol Sirionians seem to get, to the point where the threat of expulsion is looming over Asher's head.
I'm more than happy for things to get really dark and awful between these two ^.^ Like, seriously, bring on the drama! And a plot featuring a frustrated Sydney and a helpless Asher sounds perfect ♥ I'll get it started asap if you'd like me to?

@rie (lol), i've been wanting a girl like her to challenge sydney. he wouldn't really see her as a target--well, i mean he would, but not a target for the usual things. i think mostly he'd just like to get her flustered and bitchy. i feel like despite that he would see her as a friend, because the way he picks on her is actually more friendly than the usual way. in essence, it's quite innocent. sure, he's out to destroy her, but i meant it's innocent for sydney lol. his ultimate goal is to make her cry. if he can ever get her to cry, then maybe he'll be happy. tho it doesn't seem like something she'll be doing anytime soon. but that's ok, he's got all the patience in the world to work at it~ c;

pretty much agree with everything u've already said~ rie is bitchy most of the time to ppl, lol. unlike sydney, who chooses at face value to be friendly and charming with everyone, rie's somewhat determined to piss ppl off enough that relationships not based on hate are rare for her.
so this is where they'd clash i think, but also where they'd be friends in a more genuine sense that they'd enjoy each other's company. sydney wouldn't target rie in the usual sense b/c rie's perceptive (and knows his tricks well) enough that she wouldn't be deceived. and sydney's difficult for her to mess with too b/c he's, well, sydney.
so tl;dr, a not-fake friendship based on mutually trying to gain the upper hand over the other?
