[classy=bmu_Info] whimsical clingy hardy sassy maternal intuitive basket case [/classy] MARLENE D. RUSSELL
i feel numb most of the time the lower i get the higher i'll climb and i will wonder why i got dark only to shine looking for the golden light oh it's a reasonable sacrifice burn burn burn bright forgo family forgo friends it's how it started how it ends i can open up and cry 'cause i've been silent all my life
[classy=bmu_Header] LIKES [/classy] [classy=bmu_Text]It isn't easy for Marlene to make friends. Not everyone is patient enough to sit down and socialize with a mute, but she isn't really complaining. She doesn't want or need that many friends, so a few people to hang around with every now and again is enough to keep her chipper. Coming from a country where royals are self-sufficient and do things for themselves, I imagine that she'd get along best with the dukes, dames, and servants; especially if they are from her kingdom.
She has three half brothers, one older and two younger. The oldest is from her father's first marriage and the two younger are from his current one. She is exceptionally fond of them. If anyone wants to take play one of them, just hit me up.[/classy] [classy=bmu_Header] HATES [/classy] [classy=bmu_Text]Hate is a strong word. Marlene isn't the type of person to hate others unless they're just straight up bitches. Even then, it takes a lot for Marley to just think that she hates them. It is too big of a waste of her time and it is easier to ignore them. Only if they make it a point to be a thorn in her side will she deliberately do something about the person trying to get on her bad side and whatever that something is will be a mystery!
I'm a person that loves a bit of character conflict, so some potential enemies would be fun. I'm pretty open. If you want to get on her bad side with someone small, constantly badger Marley for her silent nature. For something big... I have no idea, the possibilities are pretty endless.[/classy] [classy=bmu_Header] LOVES [/classy] [classy=bmu_Text]All I've got to say is that Marley would much rather be smoochin' on a princess than a prince. /brow waggle[/classy] |

I would just love it if these two could be friends! Although I'm sure that Asher would have been a little awkward around Marlene at first. Back when they were both first years Asher's experience socializing with women or with women in general would have been very limited, and her selective mutism would have only have confused him further. But curiosity would have won out in the end and gotten Asher to approach Marlene. Plus, he'd appreciate having somebody who didn't mind listening to him talk all the time without snapping at him to shut up :P
Asher probably feels a strong protective streak towards Marlene 'cause she's totally nice and there are just one too many jerks out there but there's no way that he'd willingly let her know that. No, he'd do his best to keep his violent behavior away from Marlene, only threatening and scaring the crap out of those who Asher thinks to have upset her when Marlene isn't there to witness his chivalry. Otherwise that would be waaay too embarrassing for Asher. I think that his protectiveness might be verging on being over-protective as Asher also tends to become quite agitated if he hears others casually discussing Marlene's mutism, especially when it's done within her earshot.
Urgh, sorry if this all a little messy. I'm running on very little sleep right now lol But let me know if any of this sounds good and I'll try and come up with some more plottage for these two :3

Pfft, if you think this is messy, you should have seen me this morning when I couldn't even type six-lettered words.
I think these two would make great friends. I think that with the way their countries and upbringing were, they'd have a fun time watching people and wondering what the hell is up with them and their stupid first world problems. She, Asher, and Q just need to get together and be baffled.
>3> I don't think it would be hard for Marley to see that Asher is a bit chivalrous. And he really shouldn't worry about displaying his violent side because she isn't the type that would see someone do something scary and run off. She's seen some things and would just accept his behaviour as part of his culture. Hah, she might even pat him on the shoulder when Gardania refuses to accept that stabbing another's eye out is perfectly acceptable when the moment calls for it.
B|; I really don't know what to say, you have an idea that is nicely squared off and I really like it! >u>We're doing this, bro. We're making it happen. /fistbump

Dude, I'm so glad that you like my random muse ^.^ And yesh, we need to get this started between them soon.
Asher not wanting to risk scaring Marlene with his violence is only part of the problem. Mostly he just doesn't want to show that he cares to the point that he actually care for her, 'cause that wouldn't be very Tol Sirion-ish of him and he'd hate to disappoint his father.
I love the idea of a completely confused Asher XD We are soooooo doing this!

So from the thread we have so far, Marlene and Katar's going to be stuck in the dungeon for awhile. BONDING TIME. Well really, Katar doesn't understand anything Marlene says, or gestures. She's going to have to write everything out for him because he's really really bad at charades. Like stupidly bad. These two could probably be pretty good friends though as Katar has all the time in the world and little to no friends so his attention never strays unless it's prayer time. At first her silence would make him anxious, because he's used to people always talking, and he feels like there's just this giant cloud of awkward silence over the two. But once he gets used to it, he'd be pretty ok with it, maybe even seek it out, especially if he's feeling mopey. Then she can tell him to man up.
it'd also be interesting if Asher and Katar are in the same room around Marlene...cause they're like mortal enemies

ASHER
[/font] Yes. KATAR[/font] Double yes. Straight up, Marlene is just going to sit and chinhands at how these guys are constantly scrapping. She will be bugged a little bit, but just let it happen because she's quite used to boys and their love for rustling jimmies. With three brothers, she has to be. So, until it all gets out of hand, she's going to let them work off some steam, then do something dramatic and unexpected like flipping a table to distract them. [/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]
